Slither Rhythm hits an early jam alpha jam

Once upon a time about a month ago, I decided I was going to finish up a game instead of starting a new one. And then NOOO STUDIO and RAE came along with their IDEAS and their JAMS and the whole plan went out of the window. Caterpillars invaded. Daytime turned to nighttime turned to daytime again. Bugs were created and fixed and twisted into gnarled semblances of joviality. Slither Rhythm was born.
The JAM was a week. The GAME is not FINISHED yet. But I feel duty-bound to release it into the (n)ether as an early cut, to shed some trepidatory light upon its infant loops. it is here and you can take its tiny bytes and make your buttons change the state of atoms until meaningful change is absorbed by your EYES and EARS (optional).
But yet, there is so much still to do. Messages are overly-chaotic. Scores are lost to the void. I know of one bug but there are likely more. Even the main parts - TAILs, ENDINGs, and BONUSes - are sorely waiting beyond the horizon. It is, as they say, in a dire and pitiful state.
It is here, however. It is a beginning. It is a thing. Enjoy, or do not; the only challenge is against yourself.
